My August Class

On Friday night I held my first stamping class since signing back up with Stampin' Up!.  It was so much fun!  I am already looking forward to the next one, which will be September 18th at 6pm.  I know there are several people who wanted to come but weren't able to, so I look forward to seeing them as well!

We made two birthday cards, a congrats card, and one for any occasion.  Take a look:

August 22 class projects

One of the things I'm working on for the next class is water coloring.  I've been inspired by several of the stamps and the samples in the Stampin' Up! catalog that feature water colored backgrounds.  Plus, with their Aqua Painters and flip-top style ink pads - it's SO easy to do! Stay tuned for a fun sample!

Thinking of You Sympathy Card

Thinking of You Sympathy Card

Welcome back to my Stamping Studio!  I'm getting very excited for my first class coming up on Friday.  I've realized that I've missed preparing and planning for my classes as much as I've missed the time spent with all my ladies who come to them.  Its been so much fun preparing four beautiful cards to share with my attendees.
In addition to creating the projects for Friday's class, I've also been planning ahead and making some cards for the next few classes.  One of them is this sympathy card.  All products are from Stampin' Up!®.

Thinking of You sympathy card

Stamps:  Thoughts & Prayers
Ink:  Garden Green; Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker
Cardstock:  Garden Green, Very Vanilla
Accessories:  Bird Builder punch; Basic Pearls; Designer Very Vintage buttons; Color Spritzer tool (retired); Linen Thread;  Natural 5/8" Chevron ribbon; Stampin' Dimensionals; SNAIL adhesive

I love this card.  Its a very simple card, but its all the embellishments that add so much beauty & interest.  I stamped off the branch on the front so it would be a shade lighter, and I used the Color Spritzer tool and my Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write marker to spritz over it.  The chevron ribbon is flipped over to show the plain burlap on the back, and the vintage button and the linen thread add texture.  Finally I used several pearls on this card, and it turned out beautiful.
