Peaceful Poppies DSP - Gorgeous!

One of my favorite products from the current Mini Catalog is this Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper - it is absolutely gorgeous! It is just one item in an entire suite of coordinating products, but it stands perfectly on its own.

The cards I'm sharing today use a simple layout perfect for showcasing this beautiful paper. I've used the patterned DSP in the background with a basic greeting, letting the papers be the focal point.

 

I mounted the DSP on a layer of Basic Black cardstock - that really makes those poppies POP!

The greeting is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Whisper White cardstock, and I tucked a piece of that beautiful Crinkled Seam Binding (#151326) behind it with the edges peeking out.

The black scallop trim on the bottom of the greeting is the Decorative Border punch (#143721), and the black sequins are from the Peaceful Poppies Sequins (#151325).

The next card is the same layout, but I used a different piece of DSP as the background. I cut a vellum circle to mount behind the greeting for a softer look.

I embossed "Congratulations" with White Embossing powder (#109132) onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock, and changed the scallop border to white instead of black

A twirl of Baker's twine (#124262) and those black sequins add the finishing touch!
